Back Pain... Is There a Solution?

Findings from the Global Burden of Disease 2010 Project has recently identified back pain as the number one cause of disability.  In addition, a person has an 80% chance of experiencing some form of back pain throughout their life.  No wonder back pain has been described as "a common threat to medicine and a reasonable threat to all national healthcare systems."

There is good news, however.  According to the same study which lead to the statement above, chiropractic adjustments, called spinal manipulations, are more effective than nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). As a matter of fact, patients who received these adjustments had improvements not only with their pain, but with their quality of life as well, compared to patients who only received drug therapy. More and more people are starting to see the effectiveness and the health care cost benefits of chiropractic, compared to the traditional medical approach.

So the next time you are suffering from back pain, handle the source of the problem and not the symptom alone.  Contact a chiropractor.  Your back will thank you.

  1. Back pain may be due to many reason before going for it's treatment therefore it better to go to the emergency care and then diagnose the reason and according to that follow the treatment.
