What are the Benefits of Working with a Partner or a Personal Trainer?

Working out with a partner could be a great help, especially in the beginning of your journey in to the fitness world. A partner can help keep you accountable and give you the needed motivation you may need to get you to the gym on days you would probably otherwise stay home.

Working with a Personal Trainer is an all different kind of motivation; you actually put in the effort to meet with one, and even decided to pay for their help and knowledge for a given amount of time.

Both a workout partner and a personal trainer can keep you motivated, the difference is in the how they keep you motivated. A partner although great to have, can sometimes want you to do workouts that they want to do, and you may find yourself becoming un-motivated by the situation.

A personal trainer on the other hand, will be there to motivate you and only you. They design a workout plan that’s geared towards your goals and no one else’s. Your job is to pick the right trainer for you.

Interview or meet with one or two trainers and ask all the questions you feel are important to you, then judge for yourself on which would be the better choice.

Here are a few reasons why working out with either a partner or a trainer can be beneficial for you:

·         They will keep you focused and motivated
·         They will hold you accountable
·         They will push you when you won’t push yourself
·         They will keep your workouts fun and enjoyable
·         They will keep you company, your never alone, they are there to talk to
·         They will help you manage your time at the gym

So no matter why you’re working out, a partner and or trainer can help make your trip to better fitness a little more comfortable. (for lack of a better term)

  1. I choose to hire a personal trainer due to my lack of motivation. There have been countless times when I tried to exercise effectively but I quit after the first week. But once I hired a personal trainer, I was able to be consistent in my exercise regimen. Not all personal trainers are created equal, therefore it's also key to make sure you do the proper research such as investigating degrees, professional fitness reviews, and industry credentials to get the best trainer for your money.
