Spring Body Tune Up

Spring is a wonderful time of year. Everything comes back to life, the temperature warms up and the days start to get longer. The world is reborn after a long, cold winter, and everyone’s starting to feel more energetic as they come out of their hibernation and start getting active again. It’s also an excellent time to schedule a Chiropractic visit to get our bodies “tuned up” and ready to go.
Before you get started on your spring cleaning, gardening, or getting started on that workout that you've been putting off, a visit to your Chiropractor may be in order first. Scheduling a visit with your Chiropractic team will help you deal with any aches, pains or other complaints that you may have. It will also increase your range of motion and flexibility so you’ll be loose and ready when summer fun starts.
A “springtime body tune up” will keep you from being benched when all the fun is going on, but any time of the year is a good time to visit your Chiropractic team. If you’re starting any new workout routine, it’s always a wise idea to have your Chiropractor check you out before getting started, so you’ll have an idea of your body’s limits.

Even after meeting with your Chiropractic team, there are still some precautions that you should take if you want to remain as healthy as possible this season. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you sign up for softball or start your spring cleaning:
  • Warm up before you get started; some stretches or a quick walk will help your body limber up and get ready for more intense exercise.
  • Change positions often. Prolonged stooping, kneeling or standing can cause your body to cramp up. If you work at a desk, take a mini break every hour to stretch your muscles.
  • Drink plenty of water. Proper hydration is the key to keeping your muscles and joints in top form.
We have lots to do this springtime and there is no need to let pain get you down. Contact us 845-342-0000 today for a springtime tune up of your own.
